Mengaktifkan SMTP Authentication Untuk Email Client. Jika anda tidak bisa mengirimkan email menggunakan smtp nama domain dengan pesan :
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was ‘support@techscape.co.id’. Subject ‘test’, Account: ‘domain.com’, Server: ‘domain.com’, Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: ‘550 SMTP AUTH is required for message submission on port 587’, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79
Ini menandakan pada setingan Outlook Express, atau MS Outlook ataupun program sejenis belum mengaktifkan menu ” My Server Requires Authentication”
Untuk mengaktifkan “My Server Requires Authentication” silahkan ikuti beberapa petunjuk dibawah ini untuk beberapa program email client
Untuk Microsoft Outlook® Express
Dari menu Tools, pilih “Accounts.”
Pilih tab “Mail”.
Klik dua kali Mail Domain ‘akun (misalnya mail.example.com)
Pilih “Server” tab.
Centang kotak di samping “My Server Requires Authentication.”
Pilih tab “Advanced”.
Pada bagian Server Port Numbers, modifikasi “Outgoing mail (SMTP):” ke port”587″.
Klik “OK”
Untuk Microsoft Outlook ® 2010
Dari menu File, pilih “Info” dan pilih “Account Settings”
Pilih Email Anda dan klik tombol “Change” diatas.
Click “More Settings …” tombol di sudut kanan bawah dari E-Mail Account window.
Pada Internet Email Settings window, click “Outgoing Server” tab
Pastikan bahwa kotak di samping “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” dicentang dan “use same settings as my incoming mail server” dipilih.
Klik tab “Advanced” dan pastikan bahwa “Use the following type of encrypted connection” diatur ke “None” untuk (SMTP) port settings.
ubah port outgoing server menjadi 587.
Microsoft Outlook® 2007
Dari menu Tools, pilih “Account Settings”
Pilih Email Anda dan klik tombol “Change” di atas ..
Klik “More Settings” tombol di sudut kanan bawah jendela Account E-Mail.
Di jendela Internet Email Settings, klik “Outgoing Server” tab. Pastikan bahwa kotak di samping “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” dicentang dan “use same settings as my incoming mail server” dipilih.
Klik tab “Advanced” dan pastikan bahwa “Use the following type of encrypted connection” diatur ke “None” untuk pengaturan Incoming Mail (POP3) dan (SMTP) Outgoing Mail. Ubah port server keluar menjadi 587.
Microsoft Outlook® 2003 and 2002/XP
Dari menu Tools, pilih “Email Accounts.”
Pilih “View or change existing email accounts” dan klik “Next.”
Pilih Email Anda dan klik tombol “Change” di sebelah kanan.
Klik “More Settings” tombol di sudut kanan bawah jendela Account E-Mail.
Di jendela Internet Settings Email, klik “Outgoing Server” tab.
Pastikan bahwa kotak di samping “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” dicentang.
Klik “Advanced” tab dan pastikan bahwa Anda tidak memilih “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” di bawah port (SMTP) atau(POP3).Ougoing port 587
